The rain and snow event expected to impact Massachusetts is looking like a lot of rain — and very little snow.
“With the back edge of the precipitation starting to move out and not enough cold air locked in place we’ve reduced our snowfall amounts accordingly,” the National Weather Service said on Twitter Thursday night. “We do think the south coast could still see between 1-2″ of snow accumulation on non-paved surfaces”

And it will look and feel like it!
-Rain changes to snow tonight with 1-3″ wrapping up by around 7am.
-Gusty winds give a blustery feel even as the sun breaks out by noon begins melting the snow.

Rain this evening transitions to some snow showers overnight, which could lead to some slick spots early Friday morning.
A coating to an inch possible, but with sunshine in the forecast tomorrow, it will be tough for that snowfall to stick around. pic.twitter.com/51EfmBDNj7— Jackie Layer 7News (@JackieLayerOn7) March 18, 2021
